PHOTOMONTAGE

Inspired by the odd connections of the unconscious mind, I create large-scale surrealistic composite photographs by digitally blending disparate images to form new dreamlike scenes.  The works are composed primarily of my original photographs of decaying objects, desolate landscapes, animals, and street scenes from my native Baltimore and from my travels around the world.
Exhibit — All works shown were exhibited in a solo show in the spring of 2016 at Full Circle Gallery (33 E. 21st St., Baltimore, MD)  Press — "There’s a destructive/redemptive quality to Dohler’s vision, a longing, a mourning, and yet a hopeful magic at play here." –– Betsy Boyd, Baltimore Fishbowl.
